Lyrics

Alien Abduction
© 2017 steve rapson

It was a dark and stormy night
The wind was blowing hard
My dog would not stop barking
He was tearing up the yard

Bright lights in my window
Creatures on my lawn
I ran out the back door
Got my dog and we was gone

We ran down an alley
A flying saucer close behind
A tractor beam grabbed hold of us
For an encounter of some kind

(Chorus)
Though I have no proof
Of anything I say
I swear it is the truth
It happened on the day

The aliens came knocking
But my dog...
He ain't talking

I was suspended in this space ship
Cold and wet and nude
While those creatures poked and sniffed
In ways that were quite rude.

My dog they let sit on a couch
Which looked just like a throne
The aliens all brushed his fur
And gave him a big bone.

The odd scene before me
I began to comprehend
My dog may be my best friend
But he's an alien.

Aliens among us
Living next to you
Professor John Edward Mack
Has said it must be true.

So now I'm back at home
My dog is in the yard
I still feed him, go for walks
And take him in the car

Every now and then
He stares up at the sky
Then he looks over at me
And he winks one eye

Though I have no proof
Of anything I say
I swear it is the truth
It happened on the day

The aliens came knocking
But my dog...
He still ain't talking
